Neck Pain and Headaches

Neck pain can be caused by a sudden trauma such as a fall, sports injury, or car accident, OR it can be caused by long-term issues in the spine. Most neck pain cases do not require surgery and resolves with physical therapy.

Headache RszdNeck pain associated with irritated nerves can radiate into the upper back, shoulder, arm, or hand and can be described as an ache, tingling, numbness, or burning sensation. This is called radiculopathy. Radiculopathy can also cause weakeness in the arms.

Muscle tension or limited joint movement in the neck can cause pain, as well as headaches. Headaches affect up to 47% of the world population.
