BPPV: Is Your World Spinning?

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a common form of vertigo that causes brief episodes of mild to intense dizziness. It is rarely serious, but it is certainly troublesome. The ear has three semicircular canals. In the canals are little hairs that move when the head moves, and these hairs send a message to the brain to help with balance.
