Instrument Assisted Manual Therapy

Instrument assisted manual therapy, also known as IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) utilizes stainless steel instruments to mobilize soft tissue, promoting improved blood flow, range of motion, flexibility, healing, and pain reduction.

TEAM Physical Therapy has physical therapists trained in the Graston Technique, a form of instrument assisted manual therapy utilizing instruments to detect and treat soft tissue conditions, including achilles tendonitis, carpal tunnel, IT band syndrome, and plantar fasciitis.

Instrument assisted manual therapy can be utilized in conjunction with manual therapy, modalities, and exercises for the treatment of muscle strains, back/neck pain, joint pain, and most extremity injuries.
